Michael R. Hinckley, MD

Dr. Hinckley was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley. After graduating from the University of Utah with majors in Russian and English, he decided to pursue a career in medicine. He attended the University of Utah School of Medicine and after an internship at Washington State, he moved to North Carolina where he did his general dermatology training at Wake Forest University. Following that, he moved to Kentucky where he trained in Mohs Micrographic Skin Cancer Surgery. Besides spending time with his wife and four children he enjoys reading, donuts, hiking, horseback riding, and a variety of sports. He loves dermatology and is fortunate to be able to serve his amazing patients!

Mohs Surgery Certified

Dr. Michael R. Hinckley is a board certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained skin cancer “Mohs” surgeon. He uses the latest diagnostic methods and treatments.

He is the only physician west of I-15 who has completed an extra year of training in Mohs Micographic Surgery. This technique is mainly used for skin cancer removal on the face and scalp and provides the highest cure rate possible.

“My passion is surgical dermatology, particularly treating skin cancer with the best cure rate possible. I also enjoy removal of other growths that are problematic for patients. I try to give my patients excellent care and gladly give them my personal cell phone to send photos or contact me with any questions they may have about a surgery. I love what I do!”
